Elections: PDP debunks Edo, Ondo candidates’ trade-off

The Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State has denied a report making the rounds that the gathering has occupied with its preferred exchange off of governorship competitors in Edo and Ondo states, as a method for determining the administration tussle between its two factional pioneers, Ahmed Makarfi and Ali Modu Sheriff.

Okunomo said, "There is no truth in the report. Minister Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) remain the PDP's governorship hopefuls in Edo and Ondo states separately.

"It is absolutely false. There is no exchange off of any sort. Such talk ought to be completely overlooked."

He emphasized that Ibrahim was a chieftain of the AP and had no business in the PDP, including that the gathering had a successful system for determining any interior debate.

As indicated by him, both Makarfi and Sheriff had gotten and met up with a dispatch tending towards a tranquil determination of the contention between them.
